Our Second Step lesson this week was "Playing Fairly on the Playground." Following steps can help you solve problems. Calming down helps you think so you can solve problems. When you can't agree on rules for a game, it's a problem. Finding a respectful way to agree on rules helps you get along better with others. It is hard to imagine how quickly this school year has passed by:( Some important dates for the remainder of the year are: May 11--Field Trip to Klein Museum May 14--Track & Field Day. Start time will be approximately 12:30. The students will be dismissed from the school at regular time. Your child may bring a water bottle (no sports drinks). Sunscreen should be used, but will not be provided. May 18--Last day of school We will be dismissing school that day at 1:00! Sometime the last week of school we will be taking a trip up to the UE for a tour which I hope will help relieve some stress for the students. Mrs. McClellan and the students did a WONDERFUL job at the concert on Tuesday night. Mrs. McClellan is always organized and has them well prepared. The students worked very hard and knew their songs perfectly! I'm always filled with pride watching them showcase their talents. Family Fun Night will be held Monday, April 30th from 6:30-7:30 at the HS Commons. A good time will be had by all! April Reading Logs are due on Tuesday, May 1st. There will not be a Reading Log for May but please continue to encourage your child to read! Please sign up for "Remind" so that you can receive reminders from me. If you need another sheet with the directions, just let me know!
